The IRS announced the 2026 TDA contribution limits on 11/13/2025.

    The IRS has announced the 2026 TDA Contribution limits. Log in to the MSS portal to change your elections or submit a 2026 TDA Investment Change form.

    • Contribution limits are $24,500.
    • Age 50-59, 64+ may add an additional $8,000.
    • Age 60-63 may add an additional $11,250.

The Chapter 551 deadline is approaching

The deadline to transfer membership under Chapter 551 to NYCTRS is December 10th.

    transfer deadline is
    December 10.

    To become a TRS member under Chapter 551 you need to:
    • Enroll in TRS
    • Obtain a TRS
      membership number
    • Submit a Chapter 551
      Transfer to NYCTRS
      application to BERS.
